Rowan Bunning
Principal Trainer & Agile Coach at Scrum WithStyle

Rowan Bunning is a pioneer of Scrum in Australia. He was introduced to Agile development techniques at the start of the 2000′s as “the way good Smalltalkers develop software”. Seeing the need for substantial enhancement to teamwork and project management to better realise the benefits of agility, Rowan became Australia’s first Certified Scrum Practitioner (now Certified Scrum Professional®) and Certified Scrum Trainer®.

Rowan has been teaching Scrum since 2008 and has nearly 10 years of experience leading, training and coaching Agile adoptions across Australia, New Zealand, the U.K, and Ireland. His coaching experience includes working as an Agile Coach and ScrumMaster at one of the leading Agile consultancies in the U.K. – Conchango (now EMC Consulting).

Rowan is highly active in the Agile community internationally and has spoken at several conferences in Europe and North America including Scrum Gatherings in London (2007), Munich (2009) and Atlanta (2012). In Australia, Rowan founded one of the earliest Agile special interest groups and helped to initiate the first Scrum User Groups in Sydney and Brisbane. Rowan holds a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, is a PRINCE2® Practitioner, a Mountain Goat Software Authorised Trainer, is Cognitive Edge accredited and a trained Innovation Games® facilitator.
