Scrum Australia – Call for Proposals
First round submissions close: December 31, 2012
We are delighted to announce that the proposal submission period is now open for the inaugural Scrum Australia conference to be held in Sydney on April 10-11, 2013.
Scrum Australia 2013 is Australia’s first ever Scrum conference with an anticipated attendance of 200-250 people. It is the first of a series of annual events to promote and enhance the visibility of Scrum in Australia. The Scrum Australia experience is based on the model of Scrum Gathering events which have been running around the world since 2004. For comments from delegates at previous Scrum Gathering events, see the short video at:http://tinyurl.com/scrumg
One of the main differentiators for Scrum Australia will be its wide variety of session formats. This opens up the opportunity for you to get your ideas across and create immersive learning experiences in a variety of formats including:
- In-depth Seminars on particular techniques and thinking tools (50 mins including Q&A)
- Experience Reports (tell your story relating to Scrum adoptions and real-world learnings)
- Hands-on Workshops (facilitate an immersive learning experience involving activities / group discussion)
Details of the three submission streams can be found on our ‘Programme Streams’ page.
Scrum Australia 2013 is being organised by Scrum practitioners, for Scrum practitioners. Each member of the organising team has practiced Scrum themselves for many years and wish to give back to the Scrum community. We hope that you will too.
Submit your proposal now by visiting our ‘Call for Proposals’ page.
If you have any questions about the conference or the proposal submission process, please contact us via programme@scrum.com.au
The first round session proposal period closes on December 31 so put your best foot forward before the New Year’s fireworks go off!
We look forward to receiving your proposal.
