Agile Australia 2009 Update
The Agile Australia 2009 conference has taken shape since I last checked. The program looks great, and if you have look at the speaker list you will spot some familiar names. Good to see, guys.
Due to a prior commitment I won’t be able to attend, which is very disappointing. I hope you all enjoy the gig, and that somebody is collecting presentations/notes.
Agile Australia 2009
The Agile Australia 2009 conference is on in Sydney on 15-16 October 2009. The website says:
Agile Australia 2009 will be an exciting conference focussing on how enterprises can embrace an agile approach.
Attend Agile Australia 2009 to discuss issues around agile in the enterprise – governance, culture, people, organisation and process. Understand the latest thinking through the exchange of ideas, strategies and first hand experiences.
Grab the opportunity to share and learn with peers and experts as we explore agile development in the enterprise.
Other than that, there’s not a lot of detail on what it’s all about. Has anyone got any more details they can share?
Scrum Is Not Just For Software
The new home page of the Scrum Alliance is showing a change of focus for Scrum:
Scrum: A team-based process to develop complex systems and products.
Scrum is an iterative, incremental process for developing any product or managing any work. It allows teams to deliver a potentially shippable set of functionality every iteration, providing the agility needed to respond to rapidly changing requirements.
For more information see the paper Scrum Is Not Just For Software: A real-life application of Scrum outside IT.
