In my opinion, this video is well worth watching. It contains lots of useful reminders. Ken’s sense of humour is dry, and he makes some statements that seem insensitive. But, I get the feeling that if you wanted someone to tell it like it really is then he’d be up to the task.
For me, the key take-aways from this video were:
* Scrum is all about transparency of the process.
* That transparency exposes organisation dysfunction, causing…
* Only 30-35% of organisations to successfully implement Scrum (that’s scary).
* The problems that emerge are not due to Scrum itself, but Scrum exposes those problems.
* “Done”, at the end of a sprint means “shippable”, and nothing less.
* Cutting quality to improve velocity always comes back to bite you.
