About
This site is not about rugby union or rugby league. It’s about…
Scrum
A lightweight agile process for software development. It is an iterative process that empowers product owners to set priorities, and developers to self-organise for maximum productivity. It does not prescribe any particular development practices.
This Website
This website has been created as an online presence for Australian’s who use the Scrum process. It’s a bit of an experiment to see if the Australian Scrum community needs an online presence (sof far so good). More and more people are attending Scrum training all over Australia so we’ll see how it goes. Your suggestions and participation are most welcome.
The website comprises two components:
Note: This website is a community resource, not a commercial venture.
Weblog
The purpose of the weblog is for posting anything to do with Scrum and to create a searchable archive of resources. If you have an RSS aggregator you can keep track of what is going on via the RSS or Atom feeds.
Mailing Lists
If you don’t have an RSS aggregator, particularly at work, then two mailing lists are available:
- Scrum-announce: For announcing important things like pub meet-ups, and less important things like training courses, conferences, etc. It is expected that this list will be very low traffic.
- Scrum-discuss: For discussing anything to do with Scrum. Peer support, what works for you, what doesn’t, etc. This list will be as busy as the participants make it.
